Salisbury Police Department Press Releases
On January 28, 2010 at approximately 9:22 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the one thousand (1000) block of Cecil Street for the report of an assault and robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with an adult male victim who advised that he had been assaulted and property had been taken from him. The victim advised that the suspect was invited into his house then assaulted the victim, striking the victim in the head with a blunt object. After the assault, the suspect took the victim’s wallet, cellular telephone and vehicle. The victim was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and released.
On the same date, at approximately 10:10 pm, Officers located the suspect operating the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled from the officers and after a short vehicle pursuit collided with another vehicle then fled from the area on foot. Attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful.
The suspect was described as:
White male, approximately 5’10" to 6’01", 240 pounds, 35
to 45 years of age, light brown/blonde military style hair,
wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

On January 28, 2010 at approximately 11:37 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant for forgery and theft. Investigators obtained the arrest warrant following the investigation of the forgery of employment records for the purpose of receiving fraudulent paychecks. The investigation revealed that the suspect was falsifying employment records and turning them into his employer to receive pay for hours that he had not worked.
ARRESTED: Terrell Marcus McBride, 28 years of age

CHARGES: Forgery-private documents (5 counts)
Theft (over $ 500) (5 counts)
Issuing false documents (5 counts)

On January 28, 2010 at approximately 2:48 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on foot patrol in the area of Camden Avenue and Smith Street and observed the below listed suspect in possession of suspected marijuana. The suspect was smoking the suspected marijuana and upon seeing the officer, stuffed the suspected marijuana into his mouth and ingested it. The suspect then fled from the area on foot. The officers caught the suspect after a foot chase and found the suspect to be in possession of a bag of suspected marijuana. The suspect refused medical attention for the ingested suspected marijuana.
ARRESTED: Brian Maurice Jones, Jr., 24 years of age

CHARGES: Possession of marijuana
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
Resisting arrest
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On January 28, 2010 at approximately 7:32 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Kmart Department Store on Tilghman Road for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that the below listed suspect had been observed taking clothing without making payment. The clothing was recovered and returned to the store.
ARRESTED: Juvenile, 16 years of age

DISPOSITION: Released to parent
