We represent Ruxandra Brooks of Ocean City, MD and are currently undergoing extensive legal international procedures against the perpetrators of false allegations involving Ruxandra Brooks in the scandal concerning Cowboyz Restaurant, defamation and slander.
Recently, we have been advised that you have published a story on your blog http://sbynews.blogspot.com/2010/01/cowboyz-news-breaks-in-romania.html related to an article which appeared in a Romanian newspaper. Whilst we have nothing against the article, we are appalled by the Comments which you have allowed to appear on your blog. We are very aware that you moderate these and that no effort took place to protect the name of innocent people.
Your actions and lack of responsibility have and continue to cause great grief and distress to Mrs. Ruxandra Brooks as well as her family and friends. The latest and most unscrupulous attempt at defaming and hurting her has left her no choice than than to take legal action and seek all legal remedies against you and your blog.
The only way this can be stopped is if you remove any references to Mrs Brooks within 24 hours, no later than tomorrow.
At any and all cost Mrs. Brooks will defend her basic human rights of privacy and well being and do whatever it takes to prove and clear her good name from the libelous and insidious statements which you helped to propagate online or otherwise. Your signature on the line indicated below signifies your acceptance of the terms outlined in this letter. Should we not receive a positive response from you within five (5) days of the date of this letter, we shall proceed with all steps necessary to protect our client's goodwill.

Either that letter is a hoax, or the writer has a poor command of the English language, a rarity among lawyers. Leave it to a foreigner to assume that an American citizen would be frightened by the vague threat of "legal international procedures" (which is worded incorrectly, by the way). Gee, seems she wasn't too concerned about her family and friends or her LACK of responsibility with her actions in the not so distant past. Mrs. Brooks will defend her basic human rights...and will do whatever it takes.... What about my basic human rights. How many times have I eaten in their establishment, taken my family there, my children there. It just makes me sad knowing that I've exposed my school age children to God knows what by eating in her establishment. It just sickens me to think about it.
We all have choices to make in this life. When we make poor choices, we must live with the consequences! Grow up! and Shut up!

I've had some dealings with some lawyers on the eastern shore and many of them are functionally incompetent!

Yes, I do moderate but I can allow even the nastiest of comments, if I so choose. Again, even if I did, I'm not liable for them. Mind you, if they could trace that comment back to my IP Address they have a winning case. However, I'm not that stupid.

i worked at Cowboyz and ruxandra was never there.john brooks was always with krista hearne and everyother woman, and i worked there the day Cowboyz opened, so why is her name in this its his ex wife. and if you want to know the truth about john brooks he is a pot head and drinks everyday.he was always smoking in the basement at Cowboyz.glad i left there before my name was put in it.
