What a cool day for Salisbury News. Not only have we had one of the biggest Friday's we've ever had, we've topped more than 400 comments in one day and that's pretty darned cool!
I did speak with County Executive Rick Pollitt and he did tell me he was going to spend some additional time tomorrow looking at the Posts and comments on County issues, so be sure to let them know how you feel. He was excited to hear some of the new ideas I shared with him over the phone and nothing seems to be set in stone.
Anyhow, thanks for yet another great day/week. Don't forget, tomorrow brings Historical Comments by George Chevalier at 9:00 AM. There will be plenty of Posts for the day, so it won't be as slow as a typical Saturday.
If you haven't read GA Harrison's Post about the Daily Times, GO HERE and take a look at it. It's very well written and unlike the Daily Rag, it's full of facts and truth. By the way, this makes the 60th Post in ONE DAY on Salisbury News. Does the Daily Times have that many articles in one day? Well, for a small time Blog I'd say we're giving them one hell of a run for the money, (FREE).
Oh, I also heard each and every comment on the Daily Rag was removed on the Campbell story. ROTFLMAO! Thanks for showing them that TWO can play that same game of removing comments. If JT, LC, MD, GC, BT, AW, JR & others want to play that game, well, we'll just make the Daily Times On Line worthless.

Do you know when and where the Fernando tickets at the stadium will be for sale?
I would think the Shorebirds Stadium and the Civic Center. There's a Press Conference Sunday where we'll learn a lot more then and share it with you.
You must stand behind the rights of those who comment anonymously. Without them, you would have less than half of your comments per day.
More importantly, the people who comment anonymously do so at their heart's content. They speak the truth. Why? Because they believe their comments are anonymous. Otherwise they would remain part of what Richard Nixxon called the "silent majority".
Stand up for us. The silent majority.
Thanks
Joe
Letter to the Editor:
Joe that is great about your comments. Shows you have a lot of readers.
Speaking about the DT and their irresponsible journalism. I just read this article and noticed several mistakes. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of American History would know the mistake so it goes to show you that the editors at the DT are uneducated and post false "news." This is actually an interesting piece on our local history. Goes to show you just because something is in print and in the DT does not mean it it the truth. Can someone tell us what the mistake is?
Exhibit marks Civil War spy's birth
'Transferred to "Fortress Monroe," in Hampton, Va., Gunby made contacts to spy for Confederate Gen. Jefferson Davis. Months later, she got her freedom during an exchange for Union soldiers and met with Davis. In 1865, she married Huffington and settled in Richmond during the remaining years of the war.'
If you post this as a separate article I will post the answers and my comments later. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thanks Joe
