Early this morning there were comments posted on the Daily Times site under the article concerning Director Devenyns suing Joe Albero. Throughout the day others have posted comments pertaining to the frivolity of this lawsuit, some even pointed out the fact that the Daily Times printed directly from the charging documents concerning Devenyns having sex in his office and being caught by others. The comments were not personal attacks or obscene yet all one has to do is click on report abuse often enough and they are removed. This leaves only the comments posted by the Anti Alberos to be viewed. This also gives the impression that everyone reading this article is against Joe, which is not true. They've left a comment by Lee Clarke and comments by someone named Zazu9999 but any others have been removed.
Much the same as they allowed to happen during the campaign for mayor. They allowed to remain any comments that promoted Gary Comegys yet removed any in support of Jim Ireton. They allowed some of the most vile comments about Mayor Jim Ireton to remain and be viewed by others. Could this have affected the outcome of the election? Yes, I think it could have. Had Jim Ireton not had the support he had we could have a first class blubbering idiot sitting in the mayors seat today.

Fortunately for Salisbury News, we have more visitors each day than the on line newspaper and they will feel the impact from their customers who used to believe in and trust the newspaper.
Yes, I will be the very first to admit we do reject quite a few comments. Many of them come from the names above and I do not hide that fact in any way, shape or form.
They are liars, cheaters and thieves and while they have their own place to voice their own opinions either in the DT's or on JT's site, they come here because they know they only get around 40 to 50 hits a day and then lie about it. They hang within their own tiny circle of friends but they will never become a Salisbury News because they have only three topics daily. Joe Albero, Debbie Campbell and Terry Cohen. Oh, I should add Mike Lewis & Davis Ruark. Someone said to me yesterday, have you noticed how every time you change your format or anything you do, JT does the same. I replied, no, I do not go to his Site but I do know the man is desperate to be Joe Albero. I mention Chief Webster, he mentions Mike Lewis. I doubt he's change with the exception he now hides under different names or anonymous whenever he goes on the attack elsewhere like the DT's.
Hopefully the DT's does something about these comments being removed because if they don't this will truly be the downfall of their newspaper as no one can trust anything they say any more. Granted, these are comments but if you're going to have that kind of format and you can be controlled by a special interest group, (Salisbury News doesn't let that happen) then they will certainly fail.
