I hope justice is served at that the administration can learn from this so that something of this nature will never happen again. As a former Parkside student and a teacher of the school district, I am very confused as to how this could happen in a hallway during school hours. I pray that the victim overcomes this horrible incident.

Wicomico pays a fortune for the Choices program which is an alternative school. Then there is a program for kids who won't behave in Choices, and the county pays Sojourner Douglass to rent space to house that. Why not have persistent offenders attend one of those?

why don't all of you write your legislators and let them know that the suspension rules handed down from the State Board of Ed aren't working. The No Child Left Behind Act penalizes school systems for their # of suspension in a school year. Do your research .

I asked a high ranking school board employee about juvenile criminals with leg bands in the schools and I was told they are all over the public school system in classes with our own children.
Showing off money but cant pay rent. IRS will not audit these types of cases but will a full time employed white person.

You miss the bigger picture. Not "expelling anyone". It about suspending and expelling minorities. The NAACP is already in a huge uproar because they feel that blacks are suspended and expelled more than whites. They are in an uproar that blacks are incarcerated more than whites. They have decriminalized marijuana to make the numbers of black arrests and jail sentencing go down. The white's, for some reason, feel the need to pay lip service to these thugs and criminals. When you do crime, you do time. I don't care about the color of your skin. We have laws to encourage a moral society. Unfortunately morals have gone down the tanker. This info was shared by the principal. The girl entered an area (not the hall) at 752. Classes start at 745. Came out of the area at 7:57 fully dressed and went to class. The two were found together prior in the hall being told to go to class by staff. She reported the rape at the end of the day. So was it rape? Was it the schools fault? She went in the area on her own.
