BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (April 3) - A gunman opened fire at an immigration services center in downtown Binghamton on Friday, killing as many as 13 people before authorities found him dead, officials said.
Gov. David Paterson said at a news conference that 12 or 13 people had been killed.

Actually Orson/Mr. Wells-{With all due respect}, Please take your own advice; I did a project on workplace shootings at the graduate {and/or} post-graduate level. If that person was that pizz-issed about doing everything he/she could to get citizenship-that would probably be the FIRST place he/she wanted to rack up a body count. Comprende?
Spree/Binge shooters {like Columbine type stuff} are not the same as the much more insiduous sociopaths like the Night Stalker or Green River Killer type serial killers. Like suicide victims in general, these killers plan their actions like momma making Sunday Rigatoni gravy, and come to a form of inner peace and clarity regarding their intended actions. and usually leave a paper trail. They know exactly what message they intend to send, and upon which helpless population to inflict it upon-my god...you guys remember the demon that killed the Amish school-girls in cold-blood??
That is where the term "Going Postal" originally came from {and Newman on 'Seinfeld'//Cliff Claven on "Cheers"}. They may not be rational....but if you look closely at the hints, allegations and things left unsaid-they usually go back to that list of people closest to them/most perceived as adversarial towards them- who have disgruntled them...But, it is too nice a day to actually be bummed out by researching this right now.
Reese,(Mr. Bobby), Point well mad if in fact the original question was "were they illegals", which would lead me to believe the curious person was querying about the multiple victims, not the single shooter. Hence the plural answer.

Are we splitting hairs now? I am now watching a press briefing on this; it is as awful, or worse, than I feared...Even after a few margaritas; I ask myself-why do we have this horrible hatred for one another in such a wonderful country? Seriously, why? We aren't talking about US Constitutional law here-but human law;humane law. The Golden Rule. Please let's find another way....if not for us-do it for our children. This senseless cycle of violence has got to stop.
