Election day and snow...

We are already expecting typically low turnout in SBY's primary tomorrow but with several inches of snow today and temps in the single digits tonight, I have a feeling we might see some of the lowest numbers in years! Any thoughts on ways to get out the vote tomorrow and how badly will the results be skewed by the weather? Who's supporters are the heartiest and loyal enough to make it to the polls come hell or high water, or snow and ice as the case may be?

This just in:

The MD State Highway Administration has informed me that they will be out early to plow all the streets in front of Gary Comegys supporters' homes. The bad news is that they will be taking that snow and dumping it in the driveways of Jim Ireton and Bob Caldwell supporters' homes.

:(

I guess the SHA finally got that "intelligence meter" they were asking for: when they point it at a house and it reads "Super Low Intelligence," that's a Comegys supporter.

Ask the 4X4 owners to come out and drive the people to the poles, just like the do for the PRMC employees. Just need someone to advertise it and be the dispatcher.

Not to worry!

I have it on good authority that Comegys has put himself in charge of this project.

Which certainly will lead to the process being reversed thus allowing Ireton and Caldwell supporters to vote.

Upon learning of the mistake Gary will immediately blame Ms Campbell.
The "daily disappointment" will pick up on the story having been alerted by the "mare." You can expect a full story above the fold in tomorrows paper.
"The bassettman" dutifully following the "mare's" direction will have us all believe that Ireton,Caldwell are in a conspiracy with Campbell. An therefore neither can be trusted to successfully manage "smallsbury."

We need everyone to call their friends, families and neighbors to offer them a ride to the polls to vote for Caldwell and Ireton.

Please everyone do your civic duty and help us win back our city. Even if you are in the county you can still help out at the polls. What affects the city will have a detrimental affect on the county.

Please do your part at the polls as well. Stay there all day long and wave signs.

Joe, it might be a good idea to list the polling places. I talked to a friend yesterday and she thought she was going to Wi Hi to vote. I don't believe that is so.

Ireton Campaign is offering rides to the polls in 4-wheel drive vehicles. It doesn't matter who you're voting for. I know the phone lines open around 9 a.m. Call(443) 736-8866 for a ride to the polls.

As an election worker, I know that the bulk of our voters are senior citizens. Since the bad roads will present problems tomorrow, we will probably see a very low turnout at the polls, unfortunately. Even if the weather had not been a factor, we didn't expect too many, since primaries have a very low turnout.
