Narrative: On July 21, 2008 a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team (A.C.E.) stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on the U.S. RT 13 bypass in the area of Mount Hermon Road in Salisbury, Maryland. Upon making contact with the operator later identified as Tyler Maurice Easley the deputy noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. A Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit responded to the scene and conducted a scan of the vehicle resulting in a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed several large plastic baggies of marijuana and a large amount of U.S. Currency. Easley was placed under arrest at the scene, a search of his person revealed additional marijuana, cocaine and U.S. currency. A total of 3.2 pounds of marijuana, 4 grams of cocaine and $8760.00 in U.S. currency were seized as a result of the traffic stop and arrest. During a post arrest interview Easley admitted that he was transporting the marijuana from the Princess Anne area to the Salisbury area for sale. Deputies are continuing their investigation in to the origin and possible destination of the large amount of marijuana and U.S currency. Deputies also seized and will be filing for forfeiture of Easley’s 1993 BMW 325 that was being used to transport the narcotics. On an initial appearance at the District Court Commissioner, Easley was held on $100,000 bond.

You might have another one on Old Ocean City Road this evening, right in front of my place.

Surprised there wasn't a photographer there, at least one I noticed.

At least that money and vehicle will go assisting the sheriff department with fighting crime. Where does the seizures and forfeiture of drug assests in salisbury go? I bet no one can answer that one

The county siezures go to the General fund, The city seizures go to the City General Fund and the State police are the same. This dirt bag has been getting arrested for felonies for years now. Hopefully he will get some serious time, but I doubt it.

Information was passed along to the task force by SPD a long time ago. About time Easley's pinched.
