Doug & Chrystal Marshall Invest Big Time Into Salisbury

The Marshall's recently purchased two pieces of property side by side on Rt. 13 North at Leonard's Mill Pond.

At first they tore down the first structure on the property closest to the pond and had the local Fire Departments use it as a training center for practice burns. Their intent was to take down the structure and build their new Real Estate and Auctioneer Offices there but just as they got in the materials to do so, Doug received a call from the property owner next door and made him and offer he just couldn't refuse, so he bought it as well.

Now came crunch time where they had to decide, what do we do with this other property? Considering that it's actually in very decent shape, there's no need to build a whole new building so they chose to cancel the brand new structure and go back to the drawing board.

Recently, Doug informed me that they are planning on putting in a Discounted Produce Market there. That's right, they plan on having produce marked down so low you can't refuse buying all of your produce from that single location. I'm even told you may see something there as soon as next week.

Then they're talking about a place to purchase local seafood as well as vendors being there, (like Station 7 from Pittsville) to sell Pork BBQ and Crab Sandwiches. This guys mind never stops Folks.

We wish them the best of luck and I'll keep you updated as to their progress. Wait till he gets hit with those taxes though, OUCH!

The title is wrong. This area is Delmar NOT Salisbury. Get the facts man!

SALISBURY COLLECTS THE TAXES ON THIS PROPERTY. OH YOU MUST BE A FARMAN FROM DELMAR AND THINK BECAUSE ITS YOUR FIRE AREA THAT ITS DELMAR.

And have you ever tried to enter Rt 13 from that property? There will be more Delmar Fire Department calls for accidents on the horizon!
Maybe they negotiate for an access road to enter and exit from Dagsboro Road--no never mind, that's overcrowded too!

It is considered Salisbury. Look up the address. You get the facts man.

Oh cut the crap! There's an entire lane to pull out onto Rt. 13 without ever getting on the main road. As a matter of fact, "I" used it myself after taking these pictures.

I can think of ONE or maybe TWO people who are making these negative comments, competition sucks, doesn't it?

As for the Salisbury/Delmar address. It is serviced by Delmar, Fire Department wise. However, it has a Salisbury address.

I hope Doug and Chrystal kick ass there and one thing I do know, they'll always be fair to their Customers. This is a Family who has NOT forgotten where they came from.

I hope they make it similar to Jacks Market out on 50 in Mardela. That place is da bomb. I also hope he'll be buying his produce from local farmers like Ralph Harcum, Brian Toadvine, Donald Hales, Will Oakley, etc, etc, etc.

It has a Salisbury address, its in the Delmar Fire District, but it is in the police jurisdiction of the Wicomico Sheriff or the Maryland State Police NOT the Salisbury Police? How confussing.

No, I'd say this Family is covered by the very best all the way around.

How about xmas trees? It sure would be nice to have a place to go pick out your own live tree for xmas. And pumpkins?

That's great. We need a produce market on that side of the highway!! Route 50 has a load of them but Route 13 at that end of town doesn't have any on that side of the highway. I'll be a regular there so I can support the local farmers!!
