Blueberry Festival Announces Exciting Changes and Musical Additions

Now 3 Full Days!
The 21st Annual Chincoteague Island Blueberry Festival has grown from 2 to 3 days in order to accommodate the steadily increasing number of patrons. The Blueberry Festival will be held at the beautiful Chincoteague Center on July 25, 26 & 27 from 9am to 4:30pm. The ticket price for an Adult is $5 per day and $1 for children under 12. Spotlight on a Musical Family
The 2008 Blueberry Festival will feature the talents of a musical family from North Carolina. Mountain Faith consists of four members, the youngest members are only 12, 13 & 14 years old. The Bass player at 44 is the oldest and Father to one of the younger members and uncle to the others. Mountain Faith plays a crowd pleasing blend of Bluegrass styles and will perform all three days of the Blueberry Festival.

Fresh Blueberry Pre-Orders
As always The Blueberry Festival will be accepting Pre-Orders for Delicious Fresh Blueberries. The Fresh Blueberries are always a TOTAL SELL-OUT, so to be sure to get yours, please call Dick Jones at 703-496-3553 or 540-273-2963 to place your order. This year, The Blueberry Festival share of the profits from the sale of the Fresh Blueberries will be donated to the Chincoteague Library Building Fund.

A Challenge
The Blueberry Festival hereby issues a challenge to all local businesses and individuals to match the festivals donation to the Chincoteague Library Building Fund Expansion Project. This year’s Blueberry Festival will feature the mouth-watering offerings from the Pepper Jack Grille. Also festival favorites Diana James’ Old Fashioned Blueberry Shortcake, Homemade Blueberry Ice Cream by the Island Creamery and Sugar Bakers Ultimate Blueberry Pie will be on sale.

A Fine Arts and Crafts Shopping Extravaganza
The Blueberry Festival is the largest Fine Arts and Crafts Event on the Eastern Shore of VA. Over 100 exhibitors from 10 states will present their wares.
