Indiana to Consider Becoming 13th Permitless Carry State

Indiana state representative Jim Lucas (R-Seymour) is sponsoring legislation that will remove the requirement for a concealed carry permit in order to carry a gun for self-defense.

The legislation would make Indiana the 13th permitless carry state.

According to CBS 4, Lucas contends it is “immoral” to require law-abiding citizens to get a concealed carry permit before being allowed to exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms. Moreover, he equates a permit requirement with criminality on the part of the state because it “[forces] an innocent person to jump through hoops and pay money to the state to prove their innocence and exercise a constitutional right.”

Permitless carry already exists in 12 states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Vermont, Wyoming, and West Virginia. There are certain parts of Arkansas and Montana where a permit is required, but the vast portion of both states–99.4 percent, according to Gun Owners of America–is permitless.

And there is a great deal of momentum for permitless carry right now. Four states did away with a permit requirement in 2016 alone. Those four are Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, and West Virginia.

Time for NAZI Maryland to get on board....

It's the right thing to do. Current practices presume that citizens are prohibited for some reason, but what reason is that?

What say you Gov. Hogan?

I wonder if I can get my $125 back for the lifetime permit I had to pay for here in Indiana?

There, I fixed it.

6:49...should we also ask the government if its okay with them if we say mean things about politicians?
See if it's okay with them if we travel to another state? Get a permit to travel? Like China?
Ask their permission to speak in public or write a vicious artcle about them?
GOD gave us the right to protect ourselves and the CONSTITUTION gave us the right to bear arms (that means CARRYING A GUN, regardless of what the "lets ban guns crowd says). Carry a gun whenever you want, wherever you want.
Jury nullification will protect an honest citizen, who, in the State of Maryland, would go to PRISON (at the INSISTENCE of their "leaders") for shooting a man who was raping a kid behind the WalMart. AND allow the perp to SUE him for blowing his arm off (not every shot can be perfect in an emergency).
NO MAN will EVER tell me if it's all right with him if I'm packing heat. I couldn't care less about what some man thinks about how I should live.
Lastly, don't be the guy who wants to TAKE my guns, either. BIG mistake.

10-13am. You need to adjust your puppet strings. I think they may be a bit too tight. Must be one of those anti-gun nut jobs.
