Donald Trump must "stay true to his outsider nature" when selecting his Cabinet and making other appointments, former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer advised to Newsmax TV on Thursday.
"He needs, and I say this as an establishment insider Republican, he needs to make sure that he is putting people into places of power who are really bona fide outsiders," he told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview.
Fleischer, 56, who served in the George W. Bush administration, now owns a sports communications firm.
"He has earned the right to change that town," the former press secretary said of Trump and Washington. "He has to be careful not to listen to those people who say, 'You've got to appoint this experienced person or that experienced person.'

Don't disagree, but to "drain the swamp", Trump will need to know where the skeletons are buried. To do that he will need some insiders.
That's part of the problem. Hard to shake a stick in DC without hitting a lobbyist.
Ari go home.
I agree & greatly respect his opinion. He knew how to handle the media!
