Still trying to decide what you want to be when you grow up?
Daraius Irani, chief economist at Towson University's Regional Economic Studies Institute, can fill you in on which professions are growing at a faster clip than any others. Overall, the annual average job growth for the next three years in Maryland is 1.18 percent, according to Irani. For Central Maryland, it's lower — at 1.09 percent.
But these five jobs, Irani said, are growing at a faster pace. I've included the job and the growth rate for the next three years. Before you get too excited, here's something you need to know about them. They are not exactly jobs career changers can easily switch to.
1. Carpenters — 3.3 percent
2. Construction managers — 3.1 percent
3. Cost estimators — 2.7 percent
4. Anesthesiologists — 1.8 percent
5. Registered nurses — 1.6 percent

How many of your readers practice a little anesthesiology on the weekends?

Love anesthesia.
BS...moving companies and outgoing real estate sales are booming industries for Maryland. After hearing of the proposal to let illegal under 18 year old idiots vote I've got to leave
