John was an officer with years of experience both on the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the Baltimore City Police Department. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for his many years in law enforcement, protecting the public. John will be missed. It was an honor to serve with John. God speed.

My heart is heavy today. A good man has passed. John Brune was a cop's cop. The man was fearless in the eye of a storm. John served the citizens of Baltimore City and Wicomico Couty. John spent over half of his life serving others. D.F.C. Brune was a plug and play deputy. John could be put in any unit in the agency and take off running. John was a real cop. The man dedicated his life to the profession.

If a deputy was in need he was there. When a deputy was taken to the hospital John was there. John only saw the brotherhood he did not care who you were, but what you are. This man truly supported his brothers and sisters in the profession. John had the heart of a lion and always stood tall.

I will miss you my brother. Go and walk among the lions your work on earth is done. Something tells me you are on a beach somewhere waiting for Debbie.

To the Brune family I pray for your peace in such sad and trying times. God Bless you.

Your Brother Fish

Don't forget to posthumously promote him to detective so his family can get a windfall pension payout...at least that's how they roll in NY
