WASHINGTON, DC: This week, Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) was appointed to two important new subcommittees on the House Committee on Appropriations. Congressman Harris was appointed to the Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies, and the Subcommittee on Homeland Security.
“My primary responsibility will continue to be working to control government spending and put our nation back on a path toward fiscal responsibility. I plan to use my new position on the agriculture subcommittee to ensure the agriculture economy in the First District remains strong,” said Harris. “On the Homeland Security Subcommittee, I will work to protect our nation at home from enemies who want to do us harm, while protecting our personal liberties.”
Congressman Harris will continue to serve on the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. Congressman Harris has used his position on that subcommittee, and background as a physician and medical researcher, to work to speed up the process of finding cures to diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and cancer.

Why do we have to have so many committee's, sub-committee's, dept heads, zcars this and that??... and the list goes on. Why can't one group or person make the decision? WTH!!!!
My major concern with Harris is why he didn't vote against Boehner.
I like harris but not his disagreemrnt with legalaztion of pot
I am with you on that 4:26. Freedom comes first!
This is why he did vote for him. You have to watch both hands when you deal with a politician.
