A measure to prevent discrimination against people who are transgender has cleared the Maryland General Assembly.
The governor released a statement promising to sign the bill.
"I’d like to congratulate and thank Senator Rich Madaleno, Delegate Luke Clippinger, Equality Maryland and the Human Rights Campaign on yet another victory for inclusion and openness in our State. We’re proud to stand with these leaders, the LGBT community, and other allies to complete this major piece of unfinished business -- ensuring that everyone is protected from discrimination under the law. I look forward to signing this bill,” the statement read.
The bill aims to stop discrimination on matters relating to housing, employment, credit and use of public accommodations.

The MD General Assembly is a disgrace leading the way of moral decline in this country. It would be nice if we could vote the Dem perverts out but everyone knows it does not matter what Western MD or Eastern Shore of MD wants, the Baltimore and DC suburbs determine this state's politics. Why take the chance. Let them have their own bathroom, or have a bathroom with, people like you. If you don't have a problem with them in a bathroom with your wife and kid's that is fine, but the majority of us do. You did notice, if you read the whole article, that one of the dems that voted against the law was an assistant states atty. who said he feared that someone could dress as a woman because of this law and would enable predators.

No one I know has separate bathrooms at home, so get used to it, guys and girls can share a bathroom and it is ok. All over Europe bathroom facilities are mixed gender.
