What don't these people understand about the word UNAUTHORIZED. It means illegal. So illegals may live here, work for cash with no taxes or social security withheld, send their kids to school for free. etc. Then when they turn 65 draw SS without paying anything into it. And, we don't know why were broke? Is there any common sense left in our politics?

Each commission member needs to go to Iran or one of hundreds of other countries and become an "unauthorized" citizen - would cause a radical change in their point of view.

The biggest value is they are willing to work for a living so our tax dollars can support those who are unwilling.

To 9:52, your point about Iran is nonsensical. It says something about you that you think the immigration laws of a theocratic dictatorship are something that should be copied by the U.S.

To 9:29, most illegals pay taxes just like any other workers. They can't collect Social Security. In fact, the SSA has a huge amount of money paid into it by illegals that can't be accessed by them. It's one of the reasons SS hasn't gone broke as quickly as it otherwise could have.

Why do they always see the need for blind wording...a.k.a "unauthorized"?? The word is "illegal". We have laws in place to prevent people from coming here "illegally". I think the article is more politically charged than trying to put a point across.
