ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- A Maryland guard who was stabbed to death in 2006 at one of the state's most notorious prisons was ordered killed by fellow guards because he interfered with their contraband smuggling ring, an inmate charged in the killing claims.
The allegations in the case against inmate Lamarr Harris put a spotlight on the violent world inside Maryland's House of Correction, a crumbling and outdated prison that was closed months after the July 2006 stabbing of Cpl. David McGuinn.

As bad or worse...

I work in a State Prison as a correctional officer I think the inmate should get the death penalty. I mean death not just sit on death row for years because of our liberal Governor. Kill the SOB. When I go to work I want to come home in one piece to my family every night. I think we get thought of as inferior to State Troopers but the true be known we deal with convicted felons on a daily basis. When the troopers come to the prison they don't even like going inside because the have to check their gun at the door. Also most troopers on the road stop normal law abiding citizens that are going a little over the speed limit. We deal with hardened criminals everyday. So we have a more dangerous job than they do. Everyday in role call they say be safe. We deal with this daily. I'm sure when everyone goes to work whether it be a police officer or a correctional officer They want to go home to their families at the end of the day. So I say kill the bastard. Whether he was hit because of other officers or not the inmate still took his life.

So should the other guards be killed too?
