I would guess this is the new way of policiing. If you catch them, front page news. If you don't, no press releases, no updates.
This is one good reason why I like the fact that these are elected positions where someone could be held accountable, at least through the public votes anyway.
I have regularly stated in the past, ALL law enforcement agencies MUST be doing a whole lot more than the hand full per week releases they feed the public. In fact, there hasn't been a press release from the Sheriff's Office for 7 days now.

I will say this about law enforcement.
I don't blame law enforcement for anything , their hands are tied :
1. Nobody goes to jail anymore
2. The criminals have more rights than us
3. If you are African American they don't even detain you.
4. on and on and on
A good example is public knowledge , Mr. Ian Gray , his record takes up 3 sheets of paper and he is still driving around in his mama's white suv.
Thanks to the lawyers and judges , why should the police give a crap.

I don't think anything you said is true, except for the Mr. Gray part, which I have no idea.
The other things may FEEL that way but I think you are exaggerating.
maybe it was investigated and found to be totally legal target practice and the idiot neighbor told to get a life.
