Losses underscore challenges US and international partners face in overcoming corruption in Afghanistan
WASHINGTON — After examining hundreds of combat support and reconstruction contracts in Afghanistan, the U.S military estimates $360 million in U.S. tax dollars has ended up in the hands of people the American-led coalition has spent nearly a decade battling: the Taliban, criminals and power brokers with ties to both.

360 million AMERICAN TAXPAYER dollars! How much of that was used to kill & maim our own servicemen and women? Seriously, it's time for us to get the Hell out of that part of the world altogether, batten down our hatches and let them kill each other! We should not engage in any more "wars" or "police actions" or "interventions" or whatever you want to call them unless we are prepared to go in full-bore & blow our enemies to Hell! This is nothing but political BS! We never learn. We're like the abused wife or girlfriend who allows the abuser to convince her she did something to provoke or deserve the abuse, that he won't do it again, that next time it'll be different, "I'm sorry. I promise I'll never do it again." Except more and more, we don't even wait for the abuser to convince us, we just cower and say, "My bad, sorry, I'll be better, please keep abusing us and taking our money." My God, what has this country come to?!?!

I guess you forget it was the conservative drumbeat that sent us there to "spread democracy" instead of destroying al queda and getting the hell out.
I guess you also missed the fact that this waste and corruption has been going on over the course of the entire operation.
And with that, I'm not surprised that you fail to see that it is the Obama admin. actually trying to clean this crap up. I'm not saying I agree with everything he does, but atleast be accurate when you call him out.
Matter of fact, keep your tax dollars and buy some common sense.
10:00 HEY, BIGGER IDIOT!! Obama had complete control of both houses of Congress and, of course, the White House until Jan 2011. If he was, as you so eloquently put it, "trying to clean this crap up," why didn't he do it when he had all the power to do so? If you buy yourself a clue with the trillions of tax dollars your hero is spending, you might remember that Afghanistan is the "good war," the one Obama and his ilk said was legitimate and that we had gone into "legally." So, before you start calling people names, look in the mirror. You may find yourself coming up short.
