Dog Show

This is just a note to let you know that there will be THREE (3) days of AGILITY DOG SHOWS at the Fruitland Crown sports facility on Aug 26 (Fri), 27 (Sat), and 28 (Sun). Each day is a completely separate dog show. There are approximately 500 entries in total for the three days. The public is invited to watch, there is no admission charge. NO CAMERA LIGHT OR FLASH IS ALLOWED.

The Salisbury Md Kennel Club was incorporated in 1954 for the purpose of furthering an interest in pure-bred dogs in our community. We are IRS-approved non-profit, with a volunteer membership. Donations to SMKC CHARITABLE TRUST are tax-deductible. This is our 58th year of service to our community. A portion of our income from operations has been regularly donated to support local dog-related projects. Some of our continuing community projects are to equip the police K-9's on the lower shore with safety/bullet-proof vests, donate pet oxygen masks to all fire departments, and visit classrooms to teach children about the love and care of their pets.

We constructed an 8,000 square feet modern building at 31663 Winterplace Parkway where we have Obedience Training classes and "Week-end" Dog Shows year-round. In addition to our November All-Breed shows at the Civic Center, we hold eight days of Agility trials throughout the year at the Crown building in Fruitland. Since this is the maximum a club is allowed under the rules of the American Kennel Club, Talbot Kennel Club has accepted our invitation to host an additional two days in conjunction with ours. Our goal is to make our area the dog show capital of the East Coast.

We will appreciate your attendance and support to help make our shows successful.

Thank you,

Barbara Furbush,
Director, SMKC
