I have a wonderful idea. Let's form a committee and spend millions of dollars to tell us the island is sinking. What a wonderful idea. Who cares if it sinks? There is nothing you or I can do to prevent it.

Take a look at the restrictions that are happening on the beaches of Hatteras Island, North Carolina. Get ready for the enviros to try to shut down Assateague Island...Climate change has been around forever! Nothing we do can control it.

Stupid arrogant people. The actions of the sea create barrier islands and the sea will change them, reshape them or just wash them away. One hurricane can change in a day what millions of human footprints couldnt do in a thousand years. Go to them, play on them, respect them but never be so arrogant as to think humans can do anything about them. When the sea wants it back it will take it.
