Avery Bechtel, 13, of St. Michaels pased away at about 10 a.m. Monday from injuries she received after being struck by a car Friday night on the Easton Bypass near Marlboro Road, according to a release from the Easton Police Department.
School officials have scheduled grief counseling from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Michaels High School. Avery was an honor student at St. Michaels Middle School, and she would have entered eighth grade next week.

she was a very close friend we used to hang out all the time when she lived in easton i miss her so much
