WASHINGTON - A magistrate in Aruba has ordered a Gaithersburg, Md. man to remain behind bars at least 16 more days in what prosecutors say is "the suspicious death" of his traveling companion, who disappeared during the pair's trip to the Caribbean island.
Aruban Solicitor General Taco Stein tells WTOP prosecutors have not charged Gary V. Giordano in connection with the apparent death of 35-year-old Robyn Gardner of Frederick, Md. Giordano has said Gardner did not return to shore with him when the pair went snorkeling on Aug. 2.
