Will The FAA Shut Down?

The Federal Aviation Administration could be looking at a partial shutdown. The agency's latest temporary funding bill - its 20th since 2007 - expires today. And the House and Senate versions of bill no. 21 are different enough that an agreement may not be reached in time. That means as many as 4,000 FAA employees could be furloughed. Former FAA administrator Marion Blakey tells Federal News Radio how the FAA authorization process is different from other agencies and why the agency has operated for so long under temporary extensions.

State and county people have been furloughed everywhere , why not the feds? Save a lot of bucks that way. Don't need FAA anyway!

That's the whole point of the dems, they want us to spend money because they can then raise taxes that you will never see go back down in your lifetime...

They even had a post about it on this site about how the dems says raising taxes with the debt ceiling will allow them to balance the budget...

The FAA can go. We will be just fine. Goodbye!
