DENTON - The news most everyone in Caroline County has been waiting for has finally been confirmed. Wal-Mart is coming to Denton!
The mega-merchandiser made it official, issuing a press release earlier this week that groundbreaking will begin on a Supercenter during the week of Sept. 19.
"Wal-Mart is excited to begin the construction of this Supercenter site in an effort to bring greater development to Caroline County, offer quality jobs with good benefits and a variety of goods at our everyday low prices to those in the community," said Mary Wilson, Maryland Market manager of Wal-Mart, in a press release. "We look forward to partnering with elected officials, community leaders and surrounding businesses to help address the needs of the local community."
The Supercenter is set to open next summer at 610 Legion Road, Denton, near state Route 404.
