CANCELLATION OF CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
Due to unexpected circumstances (elevator not working in the Government Office Building) the Salisbury City Council’s work session for today, Tuesday, July 5, 2011, has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

Sure would be a burden for those folks to have to expend the extraordinary amount of effort to walk up the stairs.

Probably it has nothing to do with laziness. Since the City Council meetings are open to the public, those who cannot go up stairs for one reason or another would be precluded from attending the meeting.
No A/C, elevator not working. Just like everything else downtown, the place is falling apart.
With the elevator not working the meeting wouldn't be handicapped accessible.
