Did you notice the little Arab when they pictured people all over the world in a graph showing how much more wealth we had than them back in 1948. Our oil addiction changed all that. I love America, I just wish we all could agree that this is an addiction we must break. Attack our energy problems with the same ferocity that landed us on the moon. If we did not lay down to Lord Oil each day, we wouldn't really care what was going on in the Middle East.
Unfortunately, Joe Doakes Motors is now owned and operated by Obama. The rest of American manufacturing is now in China or Mexico. They were driven away by unions demanding unreasonable wages and benefits for work performed and by a must-have-it-now culture fueled by cheap credit. The save and pay for it with cash generation is long gone. We must hit bottom before we can rebound, but the bottom is further than we've already sunk.
