Kratovil Afraid of Constituents?

Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-MD) seems to be afraid of the very same people he was elected to represent.  Last week we asked the question – “Where’s Frank?”.  Well, true to the word of his staff, Kratovil has released a schedule of appearances.

Are there any town hall meetings?  No!  Are there plenty of appearances that are designed to be photo ops for use in the November election?  Yes!

Just as Kratovil is trying to claim that his vote to appropriate $26 Billion to keep more government workers on the payroll is “cutting the deficit” (only in Washington would someone vote to spend billions and then claim that they are saving money), Kratovil is claiming to represent his constituents while only appearing at tightly controlled events more designed to aid his re-election effort than to actually answer questions.  Is Kratovil afraid of his constituents?  It appears so.

G.A., you got to admit his "strategy" is not all bad. If he were to be present in a town hall format, all he would get would be negative press so why even take a chance this close to the election. Photo ops, pretty boy looks, hoping that Harris will pull the negative attacks that help defeat him in 2008. Watch, Frank will show up with his newborn baby before too long to get the "awwwwwwww-w-w-w" vote from all the soccer mom-types. The election is his to lose, not Harris' to win. All he is doing is using a "safe" strategy.

The reality of this guy's politics is becoming clearer with each passing day.

Other than anxiety, why wuld he not want to have town hall meetings with his constituents?

Many thought that he had courage, core values, and a conservative streak, but he has sure proved them wrong!

He is a politician doing what his handlers tell him to do.
Incumbents usually win.

26 billion UNION PAYBACK that will be spent on Ads for Democrats. Fat Union pensions perks and executive are bankrupting this country--and they damn sure are going to do everything possible to make sure that Democrats stay in power. Kratovil is a lying COWARD!!

Kratovil needs to go. He just voted another 26 billion for union full pay teacher retirement. Do we in the private sector (who are paying for this) have this for OUR retirement?

I think not.
