Four Years Ago Today

It was four years ago today, Salisbury News went to the Wicomico Humane Society and started taking pictures to publish on Salisbury News for adoptions.

Since that time we have adopted out literally hundreds of animals. While we used to get pictures in from the Humane Society to publish, all too often they would run completely out of animals once they were advertised on Salisbury News.

Today, we try our best to host animals on our own adoption website, proving we can lower the volume on animals being sent in to the Humane Society and save the taxpayers quite a bit of money. This also keeps the volume of inventory down at the Humane Society, giving these animals a better chance of survival without having to be euthanized.
