Same problem in Delmar

Try putting a boot on one and see how quickly the problem goes away.
Could be a great short-term revenue stream - till folks obey the rules....or keep the money coming in.....

In fairness, that Wawa's parking lot is terrible for larger vehicles. I know, it's still not right to park in the fire lanes, but Wawa is part of the problem here as well.

IN FAIRNESS - EVERYONE should obey the law - PERIOD!
Don't go blaming WaWa for you being lazy. There is a full EMPTY parking lot behind the WaWa. If this "no parking for larger vehicles" is actually an issue - then park over there and WALK. The walk may do you some good!

I agree with 12:21pm about Delmar. Every time I am in the parking lot at Happy Harry's I see people parking at the curb to go in the liquor store. There are "No Parking" or "Tow Away Zone" signs posted on the building itself and several times I have seen people leave their kids in the car to go in the liquor store too. I guess they think it's ok to leave your kid in the car, as long as it is parked right outside the door of the establishment.

I have to agree with you. If you are in anything that requires using your mirrors only to back u the place is a nightmare.

Park any way you want, I don't go there. Mine is a diesel dually and won't fit there.

The striped area in the back is a loading/unloading area not a Fire Lane. Parking a commercial vehicle is impossible there so they really don't have much choice. I find this really not a big deal at least for the commercial vehicles.

in my opinion, the shore transit busses are the worst. they park anywhere and eat or talk on the phone, napping or whatever they feel like doing while patients are waiting in busy doctors offices, taking up space, for sometimes more than an hour after their appointment. i called to complain and the person claiming to be the supervisor couldnt have cared less. I am still awaiting the call back to our office to see what they are going to do about the situation.

Someone must be really bored to sit in Wawa's Parking lot and take pictures.....get a life! Just remember those people in the ambulance are the ones you may need help from one day!

3:23, IF I knew who you were I'd crack you right in the face. When you hold out that boot for donations I'll be sure to spit in it instead of making a donation.

Hey I go to that Wawa all the time....the problem I always run into is not the guys in the ambulances....its the seedy characters hanging around the doors...begging for money and cigarettes....Im glad to have the ambulance people there...at least I feel like if I get stabbed or shot...which happens a lot in Salisbury...I might get some emergency medical help to get me over to the hospital.

The money people put in the boot does not go to the fire department. It goes to the MDA. The very same face you spit in today may just save your life tomorrow.

I bet if a bus load of Muslims parked there...no one would say anything.

Is there any truth that the council women got what they wanted? All week long I have scene fire apparatus at the down town fire house. It looks like the career firemen are cleaning the station. 1 said they were moving back in there to protect the down town and the volunteers were going to stay at the new station.

yea, we're above the law, you got anything to say? we might not save your life next time you need it.

give the fire department the authority to fine fire lane violations. this would allow a new source of revenue for the department and would also allow the police to be able to focus on real issues
