oh sure, everyone can just rush right out and buy one.....what the heck do these guys think, that only wealthy people drive? Give us some of those cars selling overseas for $5,000 that our government won't let into the country.
yep, too expensive with a too small of electric range. GM said they were first coming out with Chevy for the everyman, and later releasing a Caddilac version. 41K for that is not for the everyman.
What happens when you drive an electric car and visit someone. Do you plug your car into their house and suck their electricity?
Let us see, do I drive my gas guzzler belching smoke or, do I feed my family ? $41k are they nuts, screw going green, The old smoker will ride on.
Is the $41,000 price the "basic" car?? LOL!! After the 8 speaker Bose stereo system, the dual climate A/C, drop down video screens, power-saver devices, etc, one might as well purchase a Corvette....You'll get more chicks...
The car comes with a $7,500 tax credit. The final price is about 33-34K. Still expensive.
GM is counting that many will lease the car for about $350. Plus they give 8 year warranty on the battery to up the resale value.
I wonder how much that battery costs to replace after the warranty expires.

You should buy a Nissan Leaf and save about 10k plus it looks cooler
