Hello Joe.
I wanted to let you know that in the last week I have received 2 phone calls stating that your blog site is #1, linked to a white supremacist group, and #2, your blog was happy over the tragic death of Sam Vincent. Both of which I have confirmed are not true!
In reviewing your advertisers, they are all locally owned, small businesses like mine. As hard as it is for us to compete against large corporations, we work 16 hours days trying to stay afloat. Your blog makes it very affordable for us to advertise. We all need to live and work together so we can make it throught the rough economical times that has hit our country.
For those that want to be negative about this blog, as you've been told repeatedly, quit reading the blog, and harrassing us.
Let's all work together to make the best of this faultering economy.

anonymous 9:59, some people have a difficult time accepting change, starting with Barrie Tilghman. I know, I know, some of you keep saying, why do you go back to that. Well, it's because that's where it all started. Tilghman, Cathcart, Dunn, Webster, Comegys, Gord, See and others grouped with someone who has no money and nothing to go after. They befriended these people to spew hatred and even go so far as attacking my Wife and Grandson.
So when you look back at why they do what they do, they can't get attention as normal human beings in our world, so they partner up with people who will give them pats on the back and make them feel like they're somebody.
Salisbury News has simply exposed them for who they really are. Were we wrong 5 or 6 years ago when it came to the Waste Water Treatment Plant? Were we wrong about the Zoo? Were we wrong about the new Fire Palace and Volunteers? I could go on and on about the MANY issues that simply exposed these people and their attempt to build special interests and bring down our communities.
I don't mind them coming after me but my Wife and Grandson, that's just out of line. Attacking the businesses that are trying to do better in a very difficult economy, that's wrong too. They claim they love Salisbury yet they'll do everything they can to bring anyone down trying to survive.
Tom McGuire is yet another one who is spewing the most hate. He's the guy making the phone calls using a restricted phone number and lying to our advertisers. He's also the guy who called WalMart Corporate Offices claiming I called an interracial couple a N-Word loving whore. I have witnesses who are willing to testify that McGuire actually admitted being the person who did this.
In time this will all come to a head and they'll regret ever participating in doing so.
Joe,
You have established yourself as a vital contributor to the community. Everyone knows who the "bad guys" are - it demeans you to keep going over old ground.
Move forward, cherish the role you have achieved as a community activist and use your site for continued positive change.
Acknowledging those people just keeps their deeds alive. What kills people like that the most is to be ignored.
You are a better man.

there are always costs and benefits from any effort that is made..
this includes advertising..you need to spend your dollars in a fashion that does the best job..
Joe has a compelling site that takes a passionate effort to pull off..I don't always agree with him..but it is nice to get the news here first and then watch the clowns at WBOC spin it to create what they decide is best for their agenda..
(example) Joe reporting a couple of weeks ago that Ireton lost his mind in public session..and WBOC's report..it focused on the "evil Slumlord"
