Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

On Sunday 4-18-2010 at about 2054 hrs Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to Dun Swamp Rd. south of the Pocomoke Beltway for a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that an Oldsmobile operated by Mr. Norman Lee Collins 80 years of age from Westover Md., was north on Dun Swamp Rd. approaching the Pocomoke Beltway. The vehicle crossed the center line and left the roadway. The vehicle struck a ditch and overturned. The driver was not restrained by a seatbelt. Mr. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of Mr. Collins crossing the center line has not been determined. Further investigation is being done by the Worcester County Collision Reconstruction Unit. No other information is available at this time, but will be provided as soon as it is available.
