Pork In The Park 2010

2010 brought perfect weather and a huge crowd each day to Pork in the Park in Wicomico County. Even Fernando Guerrero showed up to perhaps try some food with some fat in it for once, NOT! The lines were constantly full for all of the vendors and once again the Sheriff's Office had a huge presence there keeping the peace as well as traffic moving smoothly. If you still have a craving for great pork or beef bbq, visit Station 7 in Pittsville.

Thankfully, when I was there on Saturday, I didn't see trash spread around like in the pic. The volunteers were very quick at removing/replacing trash bags before it got to this point.

The problem is the fact that some of the attendees would rather throw their trash on top and hope it stays or throw it on the ground rather than walk the 10-12 feet to the next nearest receptacles.

The trash shown is for one reason only, in case someone wants to say they weren't busy. In fact, in years past the trash was overflowing like crazy and quite frankly that's a great thing. This year they did a much better job keeping up with it.

the county should make recyclying madatory in any county business and event. The county needs the money from it.

they were busy, very busy. Awesome event, but the trash is nasty. poor planning.

When we left it was the fire police keeping the traffic moving not the sheriff office. There was about 3 of them standing there doing nothing.
