I think most police officers speed. why because the can. Having been to germany I have seen better ways of keeping the roads safe that don't use speeding tickets and still alow speeding

You can only leade by example period.Remember awhile ago this happened ,and a woman was killed.
To be devil's advocate for a moment .When sara foxwell was going on who did we call?? The majority of troopers are good folk but till the facts are in [ie] speed road conditiond responding to a call light on /off all that stuff the jury is out.

Yes Joe....many times they are travelling too fast. Under Maryland law they are not permitted to exceed the posted speed unless they have their siren activated. We have all seen them though speeding up and down the road when there is no emergency.

The best thing to do is to call the local barrack and report it to the DO (duty officer). Give the tag number and describe the illegal behavior, i.e. speeding, following too closely in order to get you to pull over so that they can pass, etc. Give the DO the number on the orange tag which on marked cars will be a letter and then a number. The letter indicates what barrack they belong to:
E = Salisbury barrack
V = Berlin barrack
X = Princess Anne barrack
I = Easton Barrack
S = Centreville barrack

those are the local barracks.

Take the time to file a formal complaint. The life you save may be your own or that of a loved one.

I know for fact just like everyone else on the shore knows police race back and fourth between Salisbury and Easton and all the way across the bridge. If this is the cause of this accident it will open some eyes of the people who live here and the people who are doing the racing but maybe not because we all know it goes on but nothing is ever done about it.
Now if this accident was caused by him making a U-Turn in the middle of the road to chase someone down for speeding,well he has done nothing wrong but make a stupid mistake of chasing that person. We all know that when dealing with highways with known speeds of 50 to 70 MPH that when crossing,POLICE OR FIRE,know to make sure before you pull back on the road or do a U-Turn to make sure traffic is stopped or known your there.Now the question is was it worth chasing that vehicle.NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW why because the car that he was about to chase could have wrecked down the road and crashed because he was speeding.So it is one of them WHAT IF! The trooper should have been more cautious when he made that U-Turn when he was driving an unmarked car. I hope this doesn't happen again but I am sure it will.I hope everyone envolved recover and the trooper can get back out and catch some bad guys but use his head next time when doing speed traps!

Joe, I used to drive every day to Easton and let me tell you those cops fly. I've looked up in my mirror with no traffic around and then all of a sudden out of no where a cop would go flying passed me. I was usually doing about 65 when they did. They still passed me like I was sitting still. It's not just the cops that you have to watch out for either though. I've seen people applying makeup, reading the paper, eating, texting and talking on the phone just to name a few. I actually watched as someone changed their clothes while driving!! I've seen fire department people driving crazy. I've seen ambulances with no lights on go flying by. No one knows how to use a turn signal or even knows the fact that yield DOES NOT mean merge. This is very sad for all people involved. I pray for the victims and their families. This was a horrible accident.

I have driven on route 50 traveling about 60mph and i glance in my rear view mirror to find someone flying up behind me. The car starts to rip around me in the other lane. I look over to see that its a State Trooper or another police agency. These officers usually do well over the speed limit. Once i felt the wind coming off the police cruiser push my car around. No red and blue lights, no sirens, no need for the speed!

Response time to a crime seen or another accident is a must. I want them at my home or office asap.
Like you said , it was an accident.
If you are on the road all day every day , the chance of an ACCIDENT is far greater. Leave the officers alone!

Yes we are. We've got some technical glitches to get through but I think everyone will enjoy what we deliver.
