Blind Industries Holds First Annual Food Drive In Memory Of Sarah Foxwell

The Cutting Division for Blind Industries and Services of Maryland has made a pledge to help re-stock all food banks on the Eastern Shore. This, being our first annual food drive, will be dedicated to our fellow coworkers’ and family members that have passed away in 2009.

As a special mention, we are also dedicating this years food drive in memory of Sarah H. Foxwell and to all the men and women who have served and died for this great country in our conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If you would like to participate in this years food drive, please contact Andrew Larmore at (410) 749-4305. Below is a list of needed food items that may be dropped off at our location, 1303 Old Ocean City Road, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM until 2:30 PM.

The Most Needed Food Items are:
Canned meat, ham & chicken, stews & spreads, tuna, sardines, salmon, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, canned nuts, seeds & dried beans (no glass please).

Canned fruits & juices, vegetables, soup, sauces/salad dressing & applesauce (no glass please).

Baking mixes, muffin & roll mixes, oatmeal, breakfast cereals, rice, rice cakes & pasta

Evaporated milk, powdered milk, infant formula, cheese foods, puddings & custards

We are proud to serve our city, state and country in these tough times and give back to those in need and to all who have lost their jobs this past year due to our present economic situation.
