White House: No Middle-Class Tax Hike

WASHINGTON (Aug. 3) -- The White House spokesman said Monday that President Barack Obama is committed to not raising taxes on U.S. families earning less than $250,000.

Robert Gibbs restated that assurance Monday after two top White House officials suggested over the weekend that they could not rule out tax increases as the administration struggles to cut the budget deficit in half in the coming years.

This is a political ploy to make people passive. How are the Socialistic programs, all these giveaways, Union payoffs and Acorn payoffs going to be paid for if taxes are not raised? I am not that dumb or stupid enough to beleive this garbage. Yes I am from the Eastern Shore, born and raised here. I use common sense.

The last time I was told that I would not get a tax hike, my taxes went up.
And the time before that, too.
And the time before that, too.
And the time before that, too.

And the time before that, too.

Sounds like the same as my taxes here in Salisbury----
My home dropped over 30,000.00 in appraised value three months ago however, my city and country taxes in Salisbury went up $600.00 a year. Does that make sense. Probably will work the same as Obama's promise! NOT!!!!!

I may be naive but how is 250k a year "middle-class"?

How can he say he will not raise taxes on the Middle Class? They are the only ones who pay taxes. The wealthy have to many loopholes and the poor get money back from the government they did not even pay in.

Spoken like a true Marxist. "If you make over...fill in the blank...dollars, you make too much.
What kind of drivel is that? In a free society everybody is free to earn as much money as they can, or as much as they want to work enough to get. I work two jobs; because I like having the degree of financial freedom that gives me. No one should be able to tell anyone...."you earn too much money"

Just another Obama lie. He has not kept any of his campaign promises. Why would you expect him to keep the one on not raising taxes. I told you before the eletion if Obama won the election he would be taxing your ass off. Truer words never spoken. Hold on to your wallets people this is just the beginning. When Obama gets done you will be lucky to take home half of your paycheck. Hows that change working for you liberal a--holes.
