(July 28) -- The state of Hawaii and the U.S. House of Representatives are doing their best to put the Obama birthplace controversy to rest.
Fat chance.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs admitted Monday that nothing will change the minds of the "birthers" -- those true believers who insist President Obama is not a natural-born American citizen and therefore is not eligible to hold the highest office in the land.
Despite Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann's attempt to block the vote, the House Monday passed a resolution that includes this declaration: "President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961."
And for good measure, Hawaii's health director issued a statement saying she has doubled-checked the "original vital records" and, yep, just as she said last October, Obama was born in Hawaii.
Fox's Bill O'Reilly has weighed in -- declaring the birth certificate flap "bogus" but defending CNN's Lou Dobbs, who's under fire from the left for questioning Obama's citizenship.
But what if Obama hadn't been born in the USA? "I wouldn't give a damn if Obama was born in a cave in Afghanistan," Mark McKinnon wrote in Tuesday's Daily Beast. The former Bush and McCain strategist added: "There is no more an American story than Barack Obama."

The resolution passed unanimously(even Bachmann voted for it). Where wher the doubters when it counted? Nuff said.
Birthers might be happy or satisfied if no one other than a Judge solves this in a court and the birth certificate is produced. My son's certification of birth from the state of Md is no good except to get an actual birth certificate, it says so on the document.
I don't believe in the conspiracy that Obama has been groomed since birth, but I think that would put doubters to rest once and for all, the more he hides, the more this group will grow.
If he truly is an American he would have no problem showing his birth certificate. Nuff Said!!!

Why are you so excited? what is so important to you? Some people question his eligibility to be the President. They are not convinced he was born in Hawaii. Some believe he was born in Hawaii but by an American father, Marshall Davis, making his mother a tramp in 1961. Others are concnerned about the fact that he accepted tuition money at Occidental College for being "a foreign student", and thus, it appears Obama may be a criminal.
Just because someone in the main stream media (Chris Matthews) has shown a picture of a birth certificate on television doesn't mean it is real. Some of us believe if Obama is a criminal/or/non-natural born citizen, the main stream media is a part of the cover up. Yes this is bizarre. Now you understand why so many of us are concerned about the truth of this matter.

What difference does it make if Marshall Davis is his father?
As for his mother being a tramp, you probably think she is one anyway because she "married" a black guy.
I put "married" in quotes for two reasons.
