Just when we were getting used to a new trial date in early March, I got word from my attorneys that they have now moved the court date into some time in April. For some reason or other they're trying to find an out of town Judge that will allow an entire day with an open docket.
Sounds to me like this case is becoming bigger than life itself. I do know for a fact that Harvard Law School is following this case very closely and when I spoke with them last I assured them there was absolutely NO WAY this case was going to walk away resolved and or with any kind of settlement. I made that promise to all of you long ago and I always keep my promises. I want this case so bad I can taste it, YUK!
I wonder if HBO, Show Time and ESPN 2 would be willing to cover it live on Pay Per View. Even better, put up a massive wide screen at the Civic Center and sell tickets to the show, Tilghman vs Albero LIVE! No matter what the date is, I'll be there.

It has to be held after the Primary and the General Election. Can't have anything come out that might harm Comegys' chances in the election.
I have this sneeking suspicion that on the day of the trial she will have her lawyers will drop the lawsuit.
I also think they want it to come after the election. You guys should sell tickets, we could probably pay off the national debt!

Oh 9:46 you are so GREEN with envy. Why don't you contact Harvard Law School and ask them yourself or have your buddies on the council and those recently off the council contact them for you. You obviously aren't bright enough to do this on your own.

Shoot Joe , even I can see this is just the mayors way of getting attention. Even "bad" publicity is still publicity.
Shes' got one heck of a ego! And my my my how she has been controlling your life ! There uoght to be some kind of way you can be compensated for your leagal fees it cost you just so she can get the "air time".
Any publicity is still publicity. And I agree , in the end she will try to make herself look like a fair and decient person by dropping the suit against you. Oh, look what a wonderful person I am! I let Joe go.

If I can get her to drop the suit will you give me the money you would of had to spend on your lawyer ? hahaha sorry I couldnt pass up a opertunity to earn a buck. Especially in theese hardened times that have befallin us all.

At what point does this start infringing on Joe's right to a speedy trial? Generally, a person keeps going for extensions, reschedules, etc. to add costs to their opponents. More time means probably more calls to the lawyer which are billed.
You want to watch her run, counter sue for court cost and legal fees! She wants to drag it out, it should cost her more!
If I knew I was right, I'd want to go to court the same day I brought on the lawsuit! I think anyone would!
When you say Harvard Law School do you really mean President Obama? After all, he did graduate from there and was the first African-American President of the Harvard Law Review.

I'd bet she will drop the case when she's out of office in April or whenever. Up till then you'll be delayed,delayed, and delayed. And thatsurely isn't fair to Joe. This has to be costing a lot, so I agree with the counter suit idea!

The Mayor of Salisbury, Barrie Tilghman, is suing me personally for defamation.
You CANNOT defame a Public Figure, especially an Elected Public Figure unless you knowingly and wilfully lie about them.
I have never once done so and she has no case whatsoever.
The Mayor bullies anyone and everyone that challenges her and she will CRUSH anyone along the way who doesn't agree with her, just ask any former City Employee.
Nevertheless, we look forward to our day in Court and we fully expect everyone to break out in applause once the case is over and the Mayor will more than likely demand they let her out the back door so no one can confront her.
She is powerless any more but even to this date they are still trying to get me into trouble. The Mayor and Police Chief are now having me investigated by the State Police for posting a picture at Pinehurst Elementary School last week.
While the Parents of the students have ALLsigned a release form allowing anyone to take pictures at events such as they had, Chiefy and Mayor Bimbo think they can step beyond the boundaries of the law and use whatever force they can to bring me down.
They did the same kind of thing a couple of months ago with the murdered prostitute, knowing I had a photo of the dead woman. Chiefy tried having me arrested but no one would agree to do so in the State Police, WCSO and Davis Ruark's Office because I broke no laws.
I hope that helps bring you up to speed. I have spent years exposing this Mayor and she can't stand it.

Harvard has a very strong interest in Freedom Of Speech.
The case of a sitting Mayor using public funds to sue a blogger is of national interest.
The smart money is on the blogger Mr. Albero winning this case.
The case will then set a precedent or a standard by which all public officials across the USA will be held to should they want to file suit against a private citizen merely because they do not like the message.
