INCIDENT: Homicide

LOCATION: Williams Mill Pond Road, Delmar, MD
NARRATIVE: Update to yesterday murder investigation. The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation and the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit have been investigating the murder of Anitra Pirkle which first came out just after 8:00 PM on 1/22/09. The below listed individuals have been arrested and charged. They are being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
Members of the investigation learned the suspects asked the victim to take them to the Delmar area. Once in route they began to force the victim to go where they said. Once reaching the location where the victim was found, the suspects forced the victim from the vehicle. Once out of the vehicle, the victim was fatally stabbed by the suspects. At that point the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle. They drove several places in the vehicle before returning to each individuals residence. The vehicle was reported and detectives located it on Roger Street at Princeton Ave. Suspect Barkley entered the vehicle and was subsequently stopped and questioned. This started a chain of events that lead to the arrest of all three suspects.

This shows we need the death penalty and gives the public an idea of what types of offenders local high schools are dealing with every day. There are some dangerous kids in our community.
I want to see these three punished, but it is a shame that essentially four young lives have been lost here in this situation.
What would make three people, not just one wacko, but three, stab a poor girl who was no threat to them. And oneof them another girl. I can't believe these scumbags just got caught up in the crime spree thing.
I hope that we hear when their trial is. I want to be there.
We need to hold the judges accountable by making them look out on every violent crime trial will all seats taken by citizen judges. They will only be accountable when they realize WE MEAN BUSINESS ABOUT THIS.
There are too many situations where these creeps get out of jail early and harm someone else. WE can change that trend. We have to.

It was very very nice of her to give a ride to these stranger, being the nice person she was known to be, and look what happened.

If they can't get death give them natural life like they did that Tanya girl that was involved in the murder of George Taylor down in Fruitland about 15 years ago. She was only 15 and is still rotting in prison. Personally, I think they need to do as was suggested some time ago. Do away with the electric chair and get a couch. Anitra was such a kind a person, i've known her for many many years went thru all grades with her graduated with her in 2002 at wi hi.. she wouldn't ever hurt a sole, probably just being the nice person she is and giving them fools a ride. we all know she's in heaven tonight. i pray for her family. and that justice is served.

If EVERY courtroom hearing a crime involving violence to another human being is PACKED with OUTRAGED citizens, who are MAD AS HELL, the judges will see that we mean business.

First of all if convicted of 1st degree murder, they will receive life under the current laws of MD. In this case, if the state can make the carjacking charge stick, it's 1st degree.
Believe it or not most judges do impose the maximum penalties allowed by law. If convicted of 2nd degree murder the maximum is 30 yrs, manslaughter max is 10 yrs.
At least the middle one aligns her?self with the Bloods, and since they run together, assume all 3 do. There ARE gangs in Salisbarrie.
Looks like Barkley won't mind prison at all. That's exactly why we need a death penalty.

I think the judge will impose the proper sentence for these individuals who have no regard for human life. Give these judges a break will ya? Some kids one of my daughters went to high school with have already gotten calls from Briana from jail, Delmar is a small town and news travels quick. From what I have gathered this was HERION raising its ugly head again. These kids hit the big time real fast and seems they have thrown there lives away. We have got to get a grip on this cocain and herion in our community, its everywhere and its destroying lives. For the victims family I have no words to express the sorrow I feel for you. I couldnt imagine what I would do if it was one of my daughters. I am truely sorry for your lose.

Davis Ruark needs to go for the death penalty but won't get it so his next step should be a NATURAL LIFE sentence or life and a day.
If he presents his case as callous as the crime he should have no problem getting that sentence.
The facts state these sub humans asked for a ride, commandeered the car, stabbed the woman to death, went joy riding and then went home to sleep as if nothing ever happened. The next day they awaken, go through whatever their routine is, then attempt to go about their business in a car they stole and murdered an innocent woman to acquire. There it is, all laid out short and to the point. Verdict: GUILTY. Sentence: Immediate death.

The disenfranchised youth that fill our schools are making no effort to learn anything. Their main goal is to disrupt as much as possible, knowing the school board hates for minority students to be suspended. Taxpayers are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for tons of programs that target this group. Why are we wasting our money when they refuse to work and absolutely refuse to behave?

There are enough bi-racial individuals around to have different race code. Most I know call themselves bi-racial and/or white anyway. That description of 2 black males and a black female would have been confusing as hell, even for me a black female, except for the black girl who looked like the gizzard had been beating her all night. The gizzard looks bi-racial, the lifers dream date looks arab or hispanic. Even when saying African-american, differentiate the skin tone (light-skinned, dark, possibly bi-racial).

Um,sorry to derail you but according to Maryland law Briana is just as guilty as the person who actually wielded the knife or knives because she was there,and FAILED to do anything after the fact to alert the police.Even she was scared of the big girl(and I would be),she had opportunity to spill the beans before she was busted by the cops.Only then did the canary sing,and that was not of remorse,but to save her own butt.She went home like nothing ever happened and still did NOTHING. To 2:55 about Briana and Kenny Please shut up. All of them were running up and down my neighborhood street day in and out. They were no where near getting their lives together and far from innocent. Brittnay was more of the follower than any of them. Kenny blabbed about the Latin Kings all day long and Briana wanted in as well as Brittnay. This had nothing to do with heroin at all. I dont know about Kenny but I know both girls are in jail most concerned with their current jail house flings they have NO IDEA what is waiting for them....Brittany actually thinks shes coming home any day now. I had the "pleasure" of meeting both Briana & Britnay ( who prefers to be called Ace as she wants to be a boy) and I can tell you that there is no remorse... they run around the compound of the prison causing trouble all day and chasing tail. Both pursue gay relatonships. Yes Briana snitched and they both have the twisted idea that they will get out by blaming each other. Ace in my opinion is a sociopath and has no remorse or feelings for anyone other than herself.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Brittany also and i beg to ,i only slept a few feet away from Ace, an we talked ALOT yes she holds a mask to most but deep inside she had shot of remorse, and sometimes crys because of the situation she is in, but she had also come to accept that she may never come home again. Well I personally know Brittany and she wouldn't either. Apparently that's what we thought but cops thought other wise. We don't know the truth of the story and we never will but talking bad about people you don't even know isn't going to bring the girl back or take back the fact that they did it. And if the other two didn't do anything they never would have gotten locked up. There is a such thing as being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And not knowing what a person has been through plays a part to.
