Have You Seen The New Salisbury Fire Department Website?
Who designed this piece of crap, Doug Church? GO HERE http://salisburyfd.com to see their new Site. I know Doug did a lot of computer or phone work for the Fire Department but come on people! Is someone lining their pockets with all the extra cha ching?

I think tyhe old Site was 10 times what the new one is. If this is what you guys deliver, I think it's important people know what they're going to get for the money.
I'll bet See and Gordy pocketed some of the money and the web designer pocket the rest. I agree. The site is poorly done.
According to Network Solutions, this is being hosted at GoDaddy. How much do you think SFD is paying on top of their very cheap hosting fees? My account is less than $4 per month.
Come to think of it, I don't remember that this ever was put out to bid. Why not? Do you think Comegys made this happen as a "thanks" for the campaign web site that Doug made for him?
I concur the new sight is very poor. Not to user friendly. Hell the pictures are older than the ones on the past site.
I vote go back to the old format
The domain is parked at godaddy under the old designers name. they were told that since the people who did all the IT on the new station had sby fd in a contract, that also meant they had to do the website. the new site has nothing to do with the old design or its designers. i agree, the new design is very lacking in a lot of things, but i guess thats what the admin wanted.

Are you saying that SFD signed a contract stating that they were forced to get a new web site? Nothing in this world is free. That sounds like a very poor leadership decision there.
That site is so tacky. At least they took the picture off with the fired criminal and the other losers.
yes, what i was led to believe was that when they signed the contract for the new station that they were contracted so that all IT services had to go through the one company.
What happened to the site JR Adkins designed?
The site that JR and Billy designed was discontinued due to the "contract" that Salisbury FD had with the company that did all of the technology work for the new station. The contract evidently stated that all technology has to come through this same company inclduding the website.
The domain name is still parked at godaddy, under the ownership of JBA Design (JR and Billy), and is waiting to have it transfered to the new company, or the Salisbury FD themselves.
4:14 not sure but I liked that one much better. Him and his brother can build a nice site! They also built DFD's & Barrall's fire site also. Good bunch of guys!
thats a cheap template knockoff!!doug is a phony. In high school he always over stretched the truth and was a gossip flamer.
What kind of dumb assed manager would sign a contract that "forced" exclusivity like this? Especially when a web site has nothing to do with plugging a switch into the wall? When there is no chance at competition, vendors get lazy. Customers should be won over every day by execution, not by a piece of paper.
The old web site was nice. Too bad the previous guys were kicked to the curb because the SFD was "forced" to do so.
