Wednesday, July 16th my oldest sister Kimberly went to Dr. Lambero's office located on Newton St. in Salisbury . The office had closed at 4pm but employees were still inside and working. The office has two sets of door and they had left Kimberly her prescription inside the first set of doors. When she pulled up at 4:30pm she noticed a man walking around the side of the building but didn't really think anything of it. She walked inside picked up her prescription which the staff had left for her.... turned around and was walking back to her van. She was approached by a black male which told her to give him her purse. She said NO! and only being a foot or so from her van proceeded to get inside. The guy then hit her over the back of the head with a bottle then cut her face with the broken bottle and dumped her purse onto the sidewalk. Remember this is all happening at 4:30pm in the afternoon! She did not have any cash on her only credit cards which is what he got away with. A nurse from the Dr. office was walking to her car when she saw my sister laying on the sidewalk. Brought her into the building, cleaned her up as best as possible and called the police.
Kimberly will recover but as you are probably assuming they haven't caught the ass hole! Apparently he has been hanging out around the Dr. office for the past week or so and asking patients for money. The police have been called but he seems to be gone when they go to investigate. So please pass along this info to your family and friends so everyone will be aware! No one ever thinks this will happen to there family or friends. I sure didn't especially in the middle of the day.

I happen to be a patient of Dr. Lambrou, I called there this week and the office staff couldn't confirm this - nor did I see any police reports called to that area that time of day - I have to go there soon so I'd really like to know if this is a hoax going around or something w/some validity...
If it is true, my thoughts and prayers go out to the victim...just sharing what I learned from the office staff.

This is not true, it has been confirmed by Dr. Lambrou's office and the police department. Their office has been bombarded by calls from worried patients.

Let's take this at face value....
The police department will not give out ANY information about any investigation to anyone over the phone. We all know that.
The Doctor's office stands to lose business if the story gets out.
Someone tells what happened to warn others.
Given the facts stated, I find it hard to believe it's a hoax. I don't see where there's anything to gain. If it is a hoax, the public will simply be more careful and watchful when in the area.
It's not a bust on the police department because they cannot be every where at the same time. It's not a bust on Dr. Lambrou since nobody said the office stood by and watched. It's simply a heads up post. Personally, I hope Joe posts any and all similar cases.
There are a lot of "Rabid" people in this world. Until society is ready to deal with them as "Rabid" these types of crimes will continue to grow.
I cant believe someone would just make this up, if its under investigation the police wont reveil anything, it dosent reflect on the doctors office, or do they think it does? I dont believe ppl are bombarding that office with calls try'n to confirm this either...
10th most dangerous city.That area is packed with rental units with undesirables.You damn well be xtra careful when in that area. Sorry for her and hope she recovers fast.
If you don't believe the office is being bombarded with phone calls, call them yourself. They will know exactly what e-mail you are talking about without you having to say a word. Think about this ........ Does your Dr. leave prescriptions taped to their door? It's a serious HIPPA violation.
It's a dangerous city and people should always be aware of their surroundings regardless of where the are at.
