PAC 14's "Transition Task Force Revealed

Here are the persons who have been recruited to rubber stamp the plan to
increase the Comcast fee to its Salisbury and nearby subscribers in order to
generate funds to greatly expand the facilities and staff at PAC 14. What has
not been revealed is who the recruiters were and who authorized that and
formulated the plan. But, since the PAC 14 partners are the City of Salisbury,
Wicomico County and Salisbury University, go figure!

That reads like a who's who of FOBs. Absolutely ridiculous.

Again, Barrie has been exposed. Stop the madness, Barrie--we are on to you. You have become so very predictable in the way you operate that we can now sense it a mile away. An example of the proposed changes for filling a vacancy is a prime example--go ahead and resign; Gary will be toast.

I don't know about all of those people, but there are quite a few top notch people on that list who I respect a great deal. Let's not sully them all.

From what I have "been told" PAC 14 needs the money to upgrade and expand. They really do a great service to this community IF the Non Profits would only take advantage of it. With the decrease in Daily Times even with Non Profits using it as a source to reach the public about their activities I think PAC 14 is a way to get our information to the general public for FREE. We need to support them.

I only see 2 questionable people on that list. Why is Eleanor Mulligan on there? Louise said she put her name in the hat, why? Because she was her campaign manager? Why is Jim Rapp on this list? He has done what for the city/county?

I see many good people on their, Sue Revell, Marion Keenan, Bruce Patterson, Richard Holloway, Dr. Todd, all fine upstanding people. So why throw Rapp and Mulligan in the mix?

Although there are good folks on that "team" (along with the usual power elite, such as Tilghman and Pretl) all of them could easily afford to pay $100 more for Comcast service.

Unfortunately, they are (in some cases -- Pretl, Tilghman, Mulligan, Rapp -- knowingly) being used to perpetrate a scam on the citizenry.

The rest of them (Ms. Keenan and Dr. Todd in particular) should withdraw from this shenanigan as soon as possible.

This stunt has Barrie and Ricky written all over it, but they have acted through surrogates so they can deny knowledge.

Joe:

Mucho kudos & keep 'em coming.

If Dr. Todd and Ms. Kennan knew about Pretl's "history" as a "health care attorney", they would turn away from him in a heartbeat.

Didn't he try to block that big Wal-Mart warehouse in Somerset County, too?

Barrie and Ricky:

YOU'VE BEEN BLOGGED!

Looks like the power elite did it to the citizens again! Why not most of the committee just plain old common folk, with someone of knowledge running the show? Sure does look like Barrie had her hand in all this. Just who did the selecting of committee members anyway?

Anything that has Barrie Tilghman involved in it bears watching. I wouldn't support Jesus if Barrie Tilghman had her hand in it.

Just my 2 pennies... PAC 14 stands for Public Access Chennel I am assuming. Why is only available on cable? Should it noy be broadcast for free over the airways? Like public tv? How many in Salisbury dont get cable yet they call it public access? Total BS.
Remove the channel alltogether from Comcast and put it over the airwaves. Let the people who want to watch it donate... repeat... donate to see it if it is viable.
Granted >85 cents or so a month on your cable bill isnt going to break anyone paying the outragous prices for cable to begin with, its the principle of the matter.
There are enough crappy stations on cable that most people dont watch... dont charge more for another that most wont watch. Hell... offer the NHL or NFL channel for .85 cents more a month and I bet they will get a lot more suscribers!!

Transition--? Transition from ? to ?

What is already done?

Most of the people on the list are always looking for a handout. Sue revelle being the biggest culprit,

at 85 centavos per month for one channel we already get, whats to prevent comcast from charging for EACH channel whatever they want? maybe then we could have a little say as to what channels we can get? Or at least A VIEWING guide/ for the money?
Seems to me this is opening a door you don't know what's behind. Frankly, pac14 doesn't mean that much to us. WE NEVER watch it.
