I will tell you one thing from someone who had many conversations with Ireton is a hell of lot better man and Mayor than Jake. When Ireton was Mayor I attended the Mayors Roundtable meetings and each and every area of the city was listened to and we were able to put our heads together and work and learn from each other there was transparency you have not and will never get that out of Jake Day. Whenever I e-mailed,textd or called I got an answer if he had to have someone get back to me that knew that answer it was done and the answer was within 24 hrs. He walked the Presidents Neighborhood with us and the SPD, Tom Stevenson and who ever from that dept that needed to be there if Stevenson tried his typical blow you off routine either the officer or Ireton made Stevenson answer us or get the answer. You think you know Day well he doesn't return calls, texts or e-mails I guess except from his drinking buddies and entourage. I thank Ireton for what he did and you all don't know the facts. I'll be taking notes on this 4 years to come same as the last 4 get that 'BOY JAKE ".
@12:46 it's been ridiculous what Stevenson has gotten away with from every mayor since tilghman. This guy has been the most inexperienced and incompetent city government manager to date. His latest fiasco with Susan Phillips while "ACTING" administrator was a fireable offense yet Jake Day placed his LGBT representative Glanz in the position and moved Stevenson to another top city management position. The sad thing is they tried to discredit Phillips and fired her instead of the true guilty participant Stevenson. He was a supposed to be in a position of character and integrity but as usual continued to be a party boy sleeping with a married co-worker. These type of actions seem to be rewarded by your current mayor the illustrious idiot Jake Day

@12:46 have to agree with you 100%. Ireton may have struggled with his personal demons while mayor but he always sought to keep Salisbury somewhat respectable and was very much approachable. Ireton can't even stomach the incompetence and lies of Jake Day and has been in disagreement with the majority of the lunacy Day is implementing

@1:42pm You may be giving him the benefit of the doubt. Personal demons? Ireton was regularly drunk at all hours of the day seen in public as such, at times being belligerent, and he was seen in the women's restrooms doing lord knows what at one establishment that I heard of... and that's just the half of it.
He always has belonged in the mental ward. We all thought we lucked out the first time he ran away. Now he apparently is running away again but he will be back. Don't think for a moment after he's done from his come down of being forced out of being mayor to a lowly council person and losing a congressional primary to a man who never left the house and had $0 in his campaign funds. that he will come slithering back into Salisbury looking for a re-birth.
And let's not forget the incident with the African-American employee where he had the angry outburst and scared her to death. That alone should disqualify him. You're being far too kind to him but certainly you're entitled to your opinion.
So what if he was?? What do you say about the Baptist of Salisbury?? Their FAKE PRAISING OF GOD. They would cut your throat faster than a Salisbury thug. Listen to what they've posted. You can say what you want about Ireton. But the truth is Salisbury was better when he was mayor than it is now. FACT!!

To listen to him about talk about the non stop spending and ghetto development of Salisbury (apartment complexes on every corner) Jim Ireton wasn't a supporter and realizes it will do more harm than good
