Shooting in Salisbury 8-18-2019
- Station 2 fire and EMS dispatched for a shooting at Anne Street and Baker Street and advised to stage at 3:26 am.
- Assistant Chief 1 responds at 3:27 am.
- Truck 2 responds at 3:27 am.
- Paramedic 2 responds at 3:27 am.
- Central advises fire and EMS units that SPD advises "scene is secure and to expedite to 600 Baker Street." (You are only asked to "expedite" when it is a serious call).
- Truck 2 arrives on scene and establishes Baker Street Command at 3:28 am.
- Paramedic 2 arrives on scene at 3:28 pm.
- Assistant Chief 1 to Central, Paramedic 1 is transporting to PRMC, situation is under control and command is terminated at 3:38 am. Assistant Chief 1 is available at 3:40 am.
Almost 10 minutes on the scene for a serious call, What The HELL! But crime is down in Salisbury. Remember that when you go to the polls in November to vote for a new Mayor!!

Patient was transported as a priority one patient. Fire department was called back after dawn to clean the street.
What's the complaint? Responders are on-scene within two minutes in the dead of night in a nasty neighborhood and work it for up to ten minutes, then the site command is terminated once the ambulance doors are closed and the vehicle is moving. Gunshot victims require individualized care and resuscitation, not just "put pressure here and load 'em up."
The boy mayor is too busy ruining streets and snarling traffic due to his bike lanes. He is too busy getting ready for his National Folk Festival. He is too busy rubbing elbows with the powers at Salisbury University, Veteran Builders, Gillis/Gilkerson and Devreco. He is too busy supporting LGBTQ flag raising and street painting events. He is just way too busy to worry about crime.

I am talking about political cancer . This democratic cancer in da bury started many years ago especially when Ireton was elected . Between Day and Ireton it will take years to find a cure . The point I think about the blog is we had another shooting in Salisbury and everyone needs to start writing them down on your calendar to see how your figures match those of our Chief of Police Duncan ( which are never accurate) then you know the real counts on serious crimes monthly. The second point should be hope the patient made it. The 3rd point is hell yes we need a new mayor and remember that in the upcoming election. Wayne King's one main points is getting crime down.
I call BS. I had a medical emergency in the middle of the night and it took more than 10 min to get to me. And I have in’s and live in a decent area.
LEOs/first responders did their job. Stop your agitating and turn that frown upside down Mr. 10 minutes.

What do the taxpayers think about this practice?

No public official can be held responsible for random stupidity here, nor can any wannabe public official ever deliver on a promise to prevent such isolated acts; it's been promised over and over.

SHOOTING 8/11 1600 Waconia Dr.
BURGLARY 8/4 400 S Kaywood Dr.
BURGLARY 8/8 700 East Rd.
I believe all of the above are including in #1 crimes

Burglar enters the home, TV and other stuff gone before cops show up.
Gang enters your home and shoots you and the kids, all die and could be hours or days before the cops bother to show up!

Well, its their right but I found it REALLY interesting that the E side has an abundance of Wayne King signs and right around the corner a city employee on E Main has THREE Day signs in her yard to try and make it look like Jake has some influence in that neighborhood.

Exactly, Prehospital Trauma Life Support teaches Load and Go, not Stay and Play. This is what happens when you have an EMS Department ran by firemen. Stabilization is done on scene.

Actually they weren't on scene within 2 minutes. Your comprehension skills are lacking. They each carry a radio to bed with them and when they get dispatched and they finally wake up they key the mic and say they are "responding" as they are taking their pajamas off and putting their work clothes back on.
It took them over 4 minutes to get to the scene and the station is only a block away.

Funny, but not so funny.
This bullshit telling the paramedics to "stage" means that the patient is going to bleed longer. Most criminals that break the law and cause harm such as shooting their fellow man run like Hell because they don't want to be arrested. When was the last time you ever heard of the person that shot the patient hanging around for the police to show up? When was the last time you heard an EMS provider getting shot by the person that shot the patient? You don't hear of it so this "staging" bullshit is killing people. The only time EMS should stage if it is an active shooter situation because that shooter typically knows he is going to die anyway. This isn't the case in these Salisbury dispatches.
When was the last time you heard of a shooting in Allen, Powellville, Sharptown, Mardela?
Rarely do you hear of a shooting in those locations so we know that Salisbury is a Sh!thole that keeps electing Democrats and the Sh!thole Salisbury keeps getting worse.
Time to start voting for Republicans.

This shooting happened Saturday night, where the Hell is the Press Release from the City??
Something tells me that Jake Day sent a memo to the Police and Fire Chief's that no press releases or discussion on their social media pages are to happen when shootings, stabbings and murders occur in the city limits. I just checked Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and there is no mention of this incident what so ever.
Hmmmm.... Must be an election coming up.
