Former Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy on Sunday blamed the Black Lives Matter movement for the uptick in violent crime in this country.
During an interview with John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York, McCarthy blamed anti-police brutality protests in Baltimore, Ferguson, and Charlotte for creating a “political atmosphere of anti-police sentiment,” according to the Hill.
“So what’s happening, and this is ironic, is that a movement with the goal of saving black lives at this point is getting black lives taken, because 80 percent of our murder victims here in Chicago are male blacks,” McCarthy said. “Less than half of 1 percent of all the shootings in this city involve police officers shooting civilians.”
McCarthy was fired last year over the controversy caused by a fatal police-involved shooting in October 2014 of a black 17-year-old named Laquan McDonald.

Yep. And Mike Lewis said that last year about Obama. Unless you are there to help stop the problem, you are part of it. He did and said nothing to stop black on black violence, nothing to stem black on blue violence, goes to a thugs funeral and not to a general's. BLM just gave them a reason to disrespect the law and to loot and shoot. More deaths and injuries in Chicago from guns than in all the Stan-wars combined!

When will black people stop killing each other...they go crazy when cops or other races kill their people..but most black people are killed by other black people..the only result.from these phony race baiting protests are lawlessness, riots lawsuits and dead black men..police are fed up. The BLM thing was adroitly managed from offstage to cause confrontation and to whip up emotions without any regard to what the facts might actually be.
Ironically, or not perhaps, Chicago's mayor is Obama's former chief of staff who is on record advising 'Don't let a good crisis go to waste.' So for Rahm Emmanuel, and his former boss and Chicago landowner, the lives of the thugs and innocent gunned down in Chicago are just grist for the mill that grinds their political strategies. Truly cold blooded!
