A region just outside Baltimore, Maryland, is now looking to join hundreds of other counties and cities across the country with a ‘sanctuary city’ policy that protects criminal illegal immigrants from federal immigration law.
Howard County officials, comprised of mostly Democrats, say they want to ban county officials from inquiring about an individuals’ immigration status. The officials would also be barred from cooperating with federal immigration officials, according to the Baltimore Sun.
“The recent national political climate, increased incidents of hate speech and violence, and unfortunate statements made by our nation’s President-elect, has caused many in the Howard County community to fear for their personal safety and the loss of civil liberties,” Howard County City Council member Calvin Ball said.
The City Council, though, acknowledges that Howard County designating itself as a sanctuary city would not go far with President-Elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration. The incoming President plans to focus heavily on banning a region from failing to comply with federal immigration laws.

All of these low life counties need to study the boy scout motto . BE PREPARED! Federal and state funding will disappear .
I sincerely hope Trump stands by his word and drops all federal funding to these "sanctuary" (aka criminal) areas. We have reached a point where the line must be drawn and we must no give one inch.
Just another example of MD following the lead of California. If I was able I would leave MD today. These progressive /liberal DumbocRATs are creating a violent situation for MD. But the five areas of MD rules our politics and the hell with the rest of us. Prime example of "taxation without representation".

I really don't believe these states (OUR STATE) wants to give up receiving Fed funding, nor to the cities, counties want to give up receiving state funding.
Question really is, who the hell is in charge?
Cutting off federal funding is not enough, arrest govt. officals who make those stupid decisions and try them for treason. Also when federal and state funding is gone property taxes will go thru the roof and people and businesses will move out then the crap will really hit the fan.

I hope Mr. Trump drops the financial hammer on each and every governmental unit offering 'sanctuary' to criminals.
I strongly support legal immigration, but oppose illegal, especially the criminal element.
