Clinton Treatment of State Dept. Security 'Contemptuous'

Hillary Clinton’s treatment of State Department security personnel was “so contemptuous” that many left the agency or requested a reassignment during her tenure as secretary of state, according to FBI documents released Monday.

“Prior to CLINTON’s tenure, being an agent on the Secretary of State’s protective detail was seen as an honor and privilege reserved for senior agents. However, by the end of CLINTON’s tenure, it was staffed largely with new agents because it was difficult to find senior agents willing to work for her,” an FBI interview summary reads, the New York Post reported.

The FBI interviewed an unnamed Homeland Security official who previously worked for the State Department as part of the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information while heading the department.

The unnamed official told investigators that Secret Service agents also had a difficult time working under Clinton. The official said the Democratic nominee demanded a window in her armored vehicle be opened during a trip to Palestine despite security warnings from the driver.

The document also detailed Clinton’s insistence to go on with a photo opportunity in an area in Jakarta, Indonesia, that security personnel had deemed too dangerous.
