McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley said at a news conference Sunday that the incident began when officers responded Friday evening to a report of a disturbance involving a group of juveniles at a neighborhood pool. The police department had said in an earlier statement that the young people did not live in the area or have permission to be there.
When officers arrived, residents and private security pointed out the juveniles who were "creating the disturbance, fighting and refusing to leave," Conley said. As officers dispersed the crowd, the 14-year-old girl was "temporarily detained" by an officer, said Conley, who did not describe what led to her detainment.

This is not a good time to be a cop.People just keep calling them when a crowd gets out of control.It's almost like a setup,where onlookers wait for the cops to arrive with their cell phones.Jammers should be legal to use in these situations.A responding cop could switch on his portable unit upon his arrival at the scene.Then watch the little bastards try to figure out whassup.
Yea, let's get rid of all the evidence 10:13, without cell phone cameras you would never see or hear about half the crap police do. It would just be the cops lying about what happened and then have their buddies lie for them too. Hell, even with cell phone cameras they still try that crap. Leave the cell phones on AND give them body cameras. They have proven time and time again that they cannot be relied upon to tell the truth when themselves or other police buddies MIGHT have to face some consequences.

The cop didn't do one thing wrong.
Use of force on the girl so she should have been arrested, otherwise it's hands off. If he had reason to detain and it escalates because she's refitting then it's time to arrest her. That part I'm cool with. I saw him draw his weapon but couldn't tell if he actually pointed the weapon at the two that ran away. Unless he perceived some sort of weapon or action that led him to believe a weapon was about to be used on him that's not justified
There is another side of the story floating around on the internet that justifies he cops actions. Apparently an unauthorized DJ set up beside the pool and put out an invitation via Twitter to come and pay $15. Out of town thugs showed up and we out of hand. Media won't show a video that was given as they want this to be a cop vs black issue. Just give it time.

You forget what the cops DID NOT do. They did not tell the ubiquitous fat guys to disperse. One of them was so very close to the cop many times. Why was he not considered a threat given he was fully clothed and could have had something in him concealed whereas the kids in swimsuits clearly could have nothing? Fat guys didn't say anything but just because someone does not say something to a cop does not mean they are not a threat.
I don't see where the cop did anything wrong. He had told that group of young women to leave THREE TIMES! Also, where were the homeowners who let this situation get out of control?
That cop is good shape. Totally fell rolled kept running. I would have never gotten out of my police car. To many cameras to many agitators. I would drove through smiled and waived. Hell, maybe not even drive through.

The little black thugs had fists drawn and were going to attack him. No way he could have won, he was outnumbered. He did his job and pulling his weapon was justified. It dispersed the thugs and he went home alive.

That's what I am saying. They had their fists balled and they were in the fight mode. They were ready to play Knockout on the cop. If they all played Knockout with this cop they would have taken his gun and killed him. Possibly killing several others. This cop reacted fast and saved his own life. Great Job Corporal.
I'm glad I lived when I did. Sadly I'm old now and this stupid politically correct country is coming to an end. Hopefully all the elected officials who have had a hand in destroying this country are young enough to suffer the consequences of their ineptitude. When there are no more people who are willing to suffer the consequences that come along with a law enforcement career and people are left to fend for themselves, I truly hope you don't think you can count on any of the stupid self serving elected officials, who have been bought and sold by the highest bidder, to defend the rotten country that will be left. I agree with a picture I just saw on Facebook. Elected officials should be forced to dress like Nascar drivers with all the names of the sponsors (bribers) on their uniforms.

If you watch the whole 7 minute video you will see the cops was justified in all he did.
That girl was out of control and had been given multiple warnings to leave. Hopefully she learned a lesson because as it stands now she is on her way to being a criminal baby machine and/or a victim of a murder herself. That's the direction she's headed in with her bad attitude.
